Gairloch and Poolewe
and the surrounding area

For those who love the great outdoors, the Gairloch and Poolewe area is an enviable location. From the door of our cottages or B&B, you can enjoy country and coastal walks. Gairloch's beautiful sandy beach, the harbour, golf courses and pony trekking are just a short drive away. You will find opportunities for beachcombing, surfing, cycling, loch and sea fishing, and, of course, there are the wonderful west coast mountains to climb. You can also launch a kayak or boat from the slipway nearby.

For those seeking a more sedate pace of life there are the beautiful Inverewe Gardens, restaurants, cafés, craft shops, art gallery and plenty of picnic places by the sea.

The location is ideal - roads from Inverness are good for easy access, yet the location opens up a wide area of the west coast to explore, from the dramatic Torridonian Mountains and the alpine-scale Bealach na Ba to the vibrant west coast port of Ullapool (with ferries to the Isle of Skye and the Isle of Lewis), are all within easy reach.
