Gairloch

On the coast overlooking the Western Isles, nearby Gairloch has much to offer for a relaxing holiday, with its 9-hole Golf Course, pitch & putt, sports & leisure centre and the prize-winning Heritage Museum. And of course a stroll round the fishing harbour or on one of the many quiet sandy beaches is not to be missed. Sea and freshwater fishing can be arranged, with boats to hire. Trips on the loch specialize in spotting marine life including whales and porpoises.

Six miles north of Gairloch is the world famous subtropical Inverewe Garden, owned by the National Trust for Scotland. To the south is the lovely Loch Maree with the Torridons beyond, and all around there are hills to walk or climb.
